Master Chess Summer Camp
We are working with some of the best coaches in the country to offer three sessions of online summer chess camp: The first session is August 2nd to 6th, the second is August 9th to 13th, the third is August 16th to 20th. The lineup of instructors makes this a unique learning opportunity.
The strongest students rated 1500+ will work with Grandmaster Alex Stripunsky all three weeks.
Alex is the former coach of the US Women's National Team and a personal coach to elite young players through the International Master level. Alex has won or tied for first in numerous world-class events, including the US Championship and the World Open.
During the morning sessions, Alex will be teaching theoretical material. Afternoon sessions will be dedicated to practice. Students will either solve exercises or play special training positions.
Students rated 1000-1500 will work with Elizabeth Spiegel in the first and third weeks, and National Master Nolan Hendrickson in the second week.
Elizabeth is the famous many-time national championship winning coach of IS318k featured in the movie "Brooklyn Castle". She is also an accomplished player who competed in multiple US Championships.
Nolan is one of the top chess players and chess coaches in Wisconsin. He earned his National Master at the age of 17 and the Life Master title at 22. Nolan attended Lindenwood University on a chess scholarship.
Nolan is extremely passionate about teaching chess and has a love for helping his students accomplish their chess-related goals. He has been teaching for over 10 years and has helped people of all ages improve their rating and love for the game. Nolan utilizes his knowledge of psychology and learning to help his students maximize their success in chess.
Outside of chess, Nolan holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a licensed therapist in Wisconsin. He hopes to publish his book on emotion theory in the years to come.
Intermediate students will also have the opportunity to work with Grandmaster Alex Stripunsky.

Mubassar is a National Master and ranks in the top 1 percent of all US chess players. He was a member of the only middle school team to ever win the National High School Championship. Having won numerous national championships at the scholastic level he has now shifted his focus to coaching children who have the same aspirations.
